There are many forms of pornography – video, Hentai, audio porn, and erotica, to name a few. The most widely known of all forms are video porns and erotica porns. Video porns can be watched on the internet, or digital copies, while erotica is in paper form that describes sex in graphic detail in order to arouse its reader. We could see erotica in magazines, sensationalized newspapers, and even novels like Fifty Shades of Grey and more. While many prefer watching video porns because of its accessibility, there are still who prefer reading erotica. The question is, does reading erotica as harmful as watching porn?

To some degree, reading porn can be perceived as “less bad” than watching porn. But, is this true? Erotica is still a form of porn, therefore consuming it can still escalate behavior. When you’re addicted to any forms of porn, sooner or later you will increase your dosage of consumption because you need to feel the same or higher level of enjoyment it can give you. Therefore, consuming erotica leads to porn addiction and brain fooling, same thing happens when a person is addicted to video porn. The brain is being fooled because erotica can directly instruct the brain to release dopamine, a feel-good chemical.

Erotica are very graphics, giving detailed sex, thus very arousing. Brain is the biggest sex organ of a human, while erotica, like any other porn forms, is like brain drug. It consumes your mind, triggers your brain, and hi-jacks it. Since erotica are very detailed, its reader can directly feel what the characters feel and react. Everything goes directly bright thru the brain because the reader has nothing visual sight that can be destructing at some point, just pure concentration and imagination. Therefore, it is as harmful as watching porn, and can be more harmful than any other forms.
